Going Green at Rushden Lakes: Evotech Expands EV Fleet

At Evotech, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond words, it drives the way we operate every single day. That’s why we’re proud to announce the arrival of a brand-new electric van, now dedicated to our client’s Rushden Lakes site. This latest addition marks the third commercial EV in our expanding fleet, reinforcing our mission to deliver exceptional service whilst reducing our environmental footprint.
Driving Sustainability Forward
Rushden Lakes, with its unique blend of retail, leisure, and stunning natural surroundings, is a location where sustainability truly matters. The addition of an electric van to our operations here means more than just another vehicle, it’s a step towards cleaner air, reduced noise pollution, and greener working practices in a place that thrives on its connection to the environment.
By choosing an electric van, we are significantly cutting tailpipe emissions to zero, reducing local air pollution, and lowering overall operating costs. For our client, this means facility management services that are not only efficient and reliable but also aligned with long-term sustainability goals.
Behind the Wheel: Our Engineers’ Role
Each day, the site relies on the EV to carry out essential tasks that keep the site running smoothly, from planned maintenance and reactive callouts to ensuring that critical systems such as HVAC, lighting, and electrical infrastructure are performing at their best.
By equipping our engineer with an electric van, we’re giving him the tools to do his work more sustainably, without compromising on response times or service quality. The engineers have already highlighted how the quiet operation and reliability of the EV make it easier to move around the busy site without disruption.
A Growing Fleet for a Greener Future
This isn’t just a one-off decision but part of our much bigger journey. This van is the third EV to join our commercial fleet, with more on the way as we continue our transition away from traditional petrol and diesel vehicles. Every step towards electrifying our fleet is a step closer to our goal of operating a cleaner, more energy-efficient service model across all the sites we support nationwide.
Our Commitment to Change
We know that sustainability doesn’t happen overnight, it’s built through consistent actions, big and small. From introducing energy-saving technology in client buildings, to rolling out EVs across our fleet, Evotech is committed to being part of the solution. This is just one example of how we’re making tangible changes that benefit not only our clients, but also the wider community and ultimately our planet.
We’re proud to be driving change - one mile at a time!
