Case study IKEA - Livat Hammersmith
Background
With more than 400 stores operating in 52 countries, IKEA is
the world’s largest and most successful home furnishing retailer. IKEA’s Livat
Hammersmith offers a unique community meeting space, along with a host of
shopping and leisure services, including the first UK IKEA City Store and
national chains including H&M, Primark, Lidl, and Sainsbury’s. The 27,133
sq.m centre, hosts 33 retail outlets over two floors, serving a community of
1.2m and provides 604 on-site parking spaces.
Brief
To provide planned and reactive, mechanical, and electrical
maintenance services for the Livat Hammersmith Shopping Centre and the IKEA
City Store.
Summary of works provided
Our on-site engineering team, supported by our mobile
engineering force, ensures that the following assets are regularly maintained in
accordance with SFG20 and ensures compliance with both UK legislation and
insurance requirements.

critical services within the centre and store, reducing the risk of downtime or
disruption to the Livat Shopping Centre customer experience. Ensuring assets
are well maintained, safe and compliant with the latest regulations we are providing
high quality, reliable and best cost solutions for IKEA’s Livat centre.
Our engineers provide day to day maintenance and compliance
services, and undertake capital replacement works throughout the shopping centre
and store, upgrading services to more energy efficient systems, as installed
equipment reaches the end of its lifecycle. By doing this we contribute towards
INGKA’s commitment to ‘becoming people and planet positive’.
